The GIRARD-PERREGAUX Manufactory has perfected an extremely original column-wheel chronograph movement. The column-wheel is the most effective system for measuring short periods of time with extreme precision. What makes this mechanism truly unique is its position under the dial rather than under the rotor, where it is usually placed in automatic movements.
